Philemon: Arrival Through Reconciliation

We concluded our Heaven or Bust journey by looking at Paul’s call for Philemon to receive Onesimus as a brother, not merely a servant. Paul even offers to take his debt upon himself—a beautiful picture of Jesus, who took our debt so we could be reconciled to God. Because Christ has brought us home, we are called to extend that same grace, forgiveness, and reconciliation to others.
